Abstract
We have performed 100 renal transplantations from August 1990 to February 1994. No cadaveric donor was used and all were first graft. We conducted the clinical analysis, especially according to the factors affecting the rejection & graft function
at 1
year.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1) The mean age of donor and recipient was 35.3 years and 37.4 years respectively. The ratio of male to female was 1.3:1 respectively.
2). 70 cases(70%) were living unrelated donors and 30 cases(35%) were living related donors.
3) Most of initial acute rejection episodes(46 episodes, 92%) were appeared within the first month of post-transplantation.
4) We analyzed the possible factors affecting the incidence of acute rejection such as donor and recipient age, number of HLA-A, B. DR antigen mismatches, the relationship between donors & recipients. Both donor & recipient's ages were
significant
statistically.(p<0.05)
5) Multiple regression analysis showed that number of acute rejection episodes(p<0.001) was the only independent risk factor for the graft function at 1 year.
6) No patient or graft was lost so far.
